Concert Review: Parachute- 11/8/13 at the Stone Pony

I went to see Plain White T's and Parachute in concert at the Stone Pony on November 8 2013.  I only knew a couple songs by Parachute, but I was happy to see them play live.  Plain White T's went on first and did a good job.  Parachute took stage after and really blew me away.  Lead singer, Will Anderson put on an amazing performance and brought energy into the Stone Pony.  Fans sang along to songs such as "Forever and Always" and "She is Love."  All in all, Parachute's performance pleasantly surprised me.  I recommend seeing them if you get the chance, (especially in a smaller venue). They are currently on tour with singer Galvin DeGraw.  For more information, you can visit their website: http://www.weareparachute.com/ .  You can also purchase their songs on iTunes.

Stars on the Rise- 4/11/14 Part 2

Tommy & The High Pilots

I first heard Tommy & the High Pilots during a show at the Stone Pony in Asbury Park, NJ.  They were the opening act and put on a great show! As soon as I got back I downloaded their song "Outta My Head" on iTunes.  I literally couldn't get the song outta my head!  People really need to listen to some of their songs and see them live.  You won't regret it.  They are currently on tour in California til the beginning of May.  If you want to learn more about Tommy & the High Pilots, visit their website: http://thehighpilots.com/ and follow them on Twitter: @TheHighPilots .  Good luck on tour guys!

Stars on the Rise 4/11/14- Part 1

Madelyn Patterson

My first star on the rise this week is Madelyn Patterson.  Madelyn auditioned for American Idol Season 13 and received a golden ticket.  Unfortunately, she did not advance farther in the show; but her future is still looking bright.  Madelyn has many loyal fans who are willing to support her on her journey to stardom.  She is currently working on some original music.  In my opinion, American Idol missed out on Miss Patterson. I believe she is going to be a star in the future.  To learn more about Madelyn Patterson, you can follow her on Twitter: @madelynpat .  Good Luck Madelyn!

The second rising star for today is Alex G.  Alex started out her music career singing videos on Youtube. People started watching and subscribing to her videos and she quickly became an Internet sensation.  Alex G is currently working on releasing an album and planning her tour.  Fans can get involved in her new album release by pledging money.  Pledgers receive a download of her new album, some cool prizes and tour information.  Everyone should pledge by going to http://www.pledgemusic.com/projects/alexg .  She is an extremely talented singer and deserves the support.  You can learn more about Alex G by going to her tumblr: http://helloalexgmusic.tumblr.com/ or by following her on Twitter @AlexGMusic7.

Stars on the Rise - 4/6/14 Part 1

For this post I will talk about some singers/bands that are on the rise.  I will try to post these at least once a week, but we will see how it goes.

Will Champlin

The first singer that is working his way up on the charts is Will Champlin.  Champlin competed in Season 5 of the voice and finished in third place.  His fans, who call themselves Champs, have a very strong presence and are growing in numbers.  Will just released his first single since the Voice called "Last Man Standing."  It is currently available on iTunes.  He is also working on completing an album that should be released in the near future.  You can learn more about Will Champlin by visiting his website: http://willchamplin.com/ or following him on twitter: @willchamplin.

Concert Review: Imagine Dragons- IZOD Center 3/8/14

For my first official post, I am going to start off by talking about my experience at the Imagine Dragons concert in March.  I've been to many different shows in the past year, but Imagine Dragons at the IZOD Center is the one that really stands out.  They put on a helluva show and demonstrated why they are currently one of the hottest bands in the nation.  Dan Reynolds' vocals were amazing and each one of the band members took their turn showing New Jersey their individual skills.  Wayne Sermon's guitar solo was killer.  Imagine Dragons played their hit songs such as Demons and Radioactive, and also mixed in some crazy covers like Tom Sawyer by Rush.  This was a show I will not forget.  Everyone should witness this band's talent live if they get the chance.  I posted a video of their performance of Radioactive.  Notice the amazing talent of the band while playing the drums and the energy that Dan gives off.  The crowd loved it!
